Start with the care instructions supplied with your bowl. The notes below help you keep glazed stoneware in regular use.
Choose the right shape
The Daily Bowl has a broad, shallow form for meals such as pasta, grains, salads, and cereal. The Soup Bowl has a deeper form. Refer to the individual product page for dimensions and capacity; each listed price is for the product described there.
Cleaning and storage
Wash before first use. Use a soft sponge and a suitable mild dishwashing detergent, then rinse and dry. Avoid harsh abrasives that can mark the glazed surface.
Follow the manufacturer's supplied instructions for dishwasher use. Place bowls so they do not knock against one another during washing or storage, and avoid using an item that has become cracked or chipped.
Temperature changes
Follow the product's own instructions for microwave or other appliance use. Do not assume a stoneware item is oven-safe from its appearance or material alone.
Avoid sudden changes between very hot and very cold temperatures. Keep these bowls away from stovetops, direct flame, and broilers, and do not put them into a preheated oven.
Color and surface
Lighting and screen settings can affect the way a color appears. Use the photographs and the stated color name on the individual listing when choosing an item. Contact us if you need help comparing products or identifying a mark.
